Bowls Drives
Each season we hold two Bowls Drives, where we invite the public to come in, play some games and win some prizes.
The June Bowls Drive helps generate funds for the club.
The September Bowls Drive is for charity, with all proceeds going to a nominated local charity.
End Of Season
We hold an End of Season event on the last Saturday of the season. During the day we play mixed doubles, with pairs drawn at random, followed by a couple of games of Spider and Nearest The Ditch. This is followed by a fish and chip supper in Weoley Hill Village Hall, with games and entertainment.
Off-Season
Through the off-season months, there are social events where you can keep in touch with people and have some fun:
November: Annual Dinner and Presentation Evening. This is where we dress up smart and present the Club trophies. The 2023 venue was The Hillscourt Hotel.
December: Whist Drive, in Weoley Hill Village Hall.
January: Skittles evening, in Weoley Hill Village Hall. .
February: Quiz Night, in Weoley Hill Village Hall.
During the off-season, there are groups of members who play indoor bowls.
Annual General Meeting
Our AGM is in March. It's probably not your idea of fun, but it's another chance to catch up with people and look forward to the season ahead.
